I challenge you to find a program in
the country that has made a bigger
commitment to women’s basketball
over the last five years than the University
of Kentucky and that’s all
under our athletic director Mitch
Barnhart’s watch. You just walk into
our new practice facility or go to our
games, seeing it go from 600 fans
per game to now almost 6,000. It
motivates me to do a great job and
to really put this program to the level
that Mitch has given us the
resources to put it.”
2007, an opportunity for fans to meet and
interact with the players and coaches.
“I think our marketing
department does a great job
of getting involved and connected
with who we are as a
basketball program, what our
vision is and where we’re trying
to go. They spend time
listening and they try to tailor
the marketing plan around the
unique set of individuals on
that particular team.”
