consolidation of several local high
schools, to a 25-8 overall record and a
Class 6A state runner-up title ... Started
in all 33 games and was voted Most
Valuable Player of the Northeast
Regional, All-Area Tournament and the
state final four ... Also was named to the
Alabama All-Star team, helping Alabama
defeat Mississippi in the All-Star game ...
Named an AHSAA All-Star after averaging
16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per
game during her junior season ... Second-team
all-state in Class 5A by the
Alabama Sports Writers Association and
ranked as one of the nation’s top 50

Person that has most influenced you in life,
why? My mother because she never gave up
on me and gave me the strength to believe in
myself and what I can do
Favorite sound? R&B music and hearing the
fans roar
What was your first your paying job and
something you learned from it? Fred’s. I
learned how to be responsible with time and
money
What is your dream job? Taking care of the
sick (nursing) and being a business woman
Craziest thing you did this summer? I woke
up at 2 a.m. thinking it was time for practice
and started brushing my teeth and washing
my face
What has impressed you most about Coach
Mitchell? His enthusiastic ways of wanting to
win and his family-oriented and caring ways
about this team

would visit a lot of elementary, middle, and
high schools to talk to students about life and
it what it takes to succeed
