Answering machine<br />

Record a memo<br />

1. Press Menu, scroll to Answer Machine and press Select.<br />

2. Scroll to Record Memo and press Select.<br />

3. The display shows Please speak after the tone.<br />

4. After you hear the tone, speak your memo then press Save to end recording.<br />

5. Your memo is played back. If you want to delete it, press Delete during<br />

playback. If you press Save or wait for the message to play back, it will be<br />

saved.<br />

6. Press Back to return to the previous menu level.<br />

Call screening<br />

1. When your <strong>BT</strong> <strong>Synergy</strong> rings, wait for the answering machine to take the call.<br />

When the caller begins leaving a message, the display shows Recording.<br />

Press Screen to hear the caller.<br />

2. To interrupt and speak to the caller directly, press Talk. Or, after the caller has<br />

hung up, and the display shows You have a new message, press Play to play<br />

new messages.<br />

3. Press Back to return to the previous menu level.<br />

Memos can only be recorded via the handset.<br />

When the answering machine is on and takes a<br />

call, you can use the loudspeaker to listen to the<br />

caller leaving a message. You can then identify<br />

the caller and decide whether to take the call<br />

in person.<br />

While screening, you can adjust the volume<br />

by pressing or .<br />

Message playback via the base<br />

1. Press . New messages are played first.<br />

During playback:<br />

to delete the current message.<br />

once to repeat the message.<br />

twice to play the previous message.<br />

to play the next message.<br />
