(<strong>Bill</strong> - 01) EXCAVATION AND BACKFILLING<br />

Preamble:<br />

Excavations <strong>of</strong> all sites including external works cut and or fill in<br />

any kind <strong>of</strong> soil to required level approved by the engineer<br />

(reduced level) excavation and cut to the reduced level including<br />

scraping <strong>of</strong> the top soil and removal <strong>of</strong> trees and extra unsuitable<br />

soil. Price shall include any filling and backfilling with excavated<br />

suitable soil or and imported fill where required that shall be<br />

applied on layers 200 mm thick and compacted up to 95%<br />

according to modified AASHTO Density T–80. Excavation for<br />

foundations must be horizontal and straight at all directions and<br />

to the proper layer. If the excavation is not level, the price shall<br />

includefor casting plain concrete(B150) to straighten out any<br />

difference in leveling.<br />

1.01 Excavation to reduce levels. MC 200<br />

1.02 Structural excavation for all foundations including external<br />

foundations and tie beams.<br />

1.03 2.00 m thick base course layer below foundations compacted in<br />

layers <strong>of</strong> 30cm maximum to achieve 100% compaction in<br />

accordance with modified AASHTO Density T–80.<br />
