TILING, FLOORING AND MARBLE WORKS
PREAMBLE.
· All tiling works (terrazzo, ceramics and marble) shall be
measured net in square meters. Deducting all opening and voids
more than 0.25 M.S.
· Marble works for steps and treads of stairs shall be measured
in linear meter. The tread, the riser, including the water stop
“edge” .
· Marble works for window sills and other openings shall be
measured in square meter.
· Rate shall include preparation of surfaces under tiles, Finnish
to falls and cross falls, special tile peace’s for edges and the like,
tile surface finishing, Plastic spacers. Pointing and cleaning and
all incidentals as per specifications and drawings.
6.01 Supply, Install and finish Pre-cast Terrazzo Tiles size (30x30x3)
cm, with Italian marble chipping No.6 “samples to be approved by
the architect” Price to include bedding and joining in cement and
sand mortar, pointing with white cement, required sand fill, and on
site grinding, polishing and cleaning also to include Terrazzo
skirting size (30x7x1) cm from the same type and color of tiles.

6.02 Supply and Install Porcelain Glazed Wall Tiles, size 20x20x0.6
cm First choice and free from all defects. (Italian Class A made or
equivalent). Price to include round edges tiles perimeters or
approved angles and beads, cutting, patching around the
services bedding in cement and sand mortar, grouting, pointing
with colored acrylic grout and two coats of plaster with proper and
approved adhesive material. All works shall be in accordance with
drawings and specifications.
Engineer shall approve color of tiles.

6.03 Supply and Install Non-Slip Porcelain Floor Tiles. Size 40x40x0.8
cm.
First choice and free from all defects. (Italian “Class A” made or
equivalent). Price to include Italian made skirting with curved
edges (40x7x0.8) cm concrete bedding, in cement and sand
mortar sand with cement filling (Grade B-100), pointing with
approved type of acrylic colored grout and cleaning on site. Color
shall be approved by Engineer.
Price to include applying of two coats of cement base
waterproofing material s from approved company for sanitary unit
.
6.04 Supply and Install polished hard local Marble (BirZeit brown stone
or Abu Khabaz or equivalent) Class A Tiles size (40x40x3) cm for
stair landings. Price to include skirting of the same marble as
above size (40x7x2) cm. bedding cement mortar, grouting, and
on site polishing. All as per drawings and specifications.
