303.3.3 Within the location, especially during the official training and competition<br />

times, each voting Jury member is authorized to issue oral reprimands and<br />

withdraw the accreditation which is valid for the current event.<br />

303.3.4 Decisions of the Jury are made by a majority vote. In the case of a tie, the<br />

chairman of the Jury has the casting vote.<br />

303.4 Jury Duties before and during the Competition<br />

303.4.1 All Jury members must arrive at the site in due time before the competition<br />

so that a check can be made before the beginning of the official training<br />

and that the correct preparations for training and competition are being<br />

carried out, and make any necessary improvements prior to the start of<br />

competition.<br />

The TD is responsible that all Jury duties are carried out and should distribute<br />

tasks among Jury members according to their abilities and experience.<br />

Jury members should be able to ski the course and make a judgment of<br />

the course preparations.<br />

303.4.2 Jury duties before arrival to competition site<br />

- Invitation<br />

- Competition programme<br />

- Entries and eligibility questions<br />

- Course and stadium plans<br />

- Snow conditions, contingency plans (in case of bad snow conditions)<br />

- Site visits (if decided by FIS Cross-Country Committee)<br />

303.4.3 Jury duties on competition site before competition<br />

- Liability insurance (<strong>ICR</strong> 212.2)<br />

- Course:<br />

Homologation, preparation (snow conditions, grooming, grooming<br />

equipment, forerunners, snow patrols, plans in case of extreme<br />

weather conditions), course marking, safety measures, coach/no<br />

coach areas, feeding stations, ski doo access paths (if applicable)<br />

- Team area:<br />

Waxing facilities, test area, warm-up courses<br />

- Stadium:<br />

Detailed plans, markings, fencing, general logistics, information points,<br />

loudspeakers<br />

- Medical service<br />

First aid stations, rescue plans, doping control (facilities, chaperons)<br />

- Team accommodation:<br />

Level, distance, pricing, meal arrangements and quality<br />

- Race office:<br />

Location, organisation, equipment, opening hours, information for the<br />

teams, forms, lists (FIS Points, cup standings, written reprimand), entries<br />

(eligibility, quotas, FIS Codes, grouping – if applicable)<br />
