Goodwill Day − March 4
Help those less fortunate through this
community service project. Scouts w ill
distribute bags in your neighborhoods
and w ill then canvas those neighborhoods
on Saturday, March 4 to collect
reusable items for Goodw ill Industries
and other local charities. This is a great
opportunity for Scouts to give service
and to “Do a Good Turn Daily.”
Friends of Scouting
When reaching our financial goals,
Tillamook District w ill be on its w ay to
achieving Quality District. It is hoped
that the campaign can be completed by
the middle of March, so by March 16 all
FOS packets should be turned in and
presentations have taken place. The goal
is to raise $10,600. Don’t forget to look
for opportunities in the community.
Camping Corner
Camp payments are due March 15 and
final payments are due May 15. Please
plan to attend Tillamook Day Camp
held at Camp Clark the w eek of
June 20-23. Camp w ill begin daily at
9:00 a.m., except for Friday w hen there
w ill be a late arrival and a campfire
program w ith a potluck for families to
come and see their Scouts participating
in a real campfire. Contact Lisa Exton at

Spring Product Sale
The spring product sale begins February
27 and runs through April 9. This is a
great last-minute fundraiser, w ith no or
very little risk to Scouts, parents and
units. Scouts can earn money needed to
pay for their ow n camping experience.
Being “thrifty” is a great thing to learn
w hile young. This is an easy sell because
every item costs only $1. Contact Jane

Council Camperall −
May 19-21
This year w ill be exciting because the
Serving Tillamook County
Cub Scout Pack 118 out of Garibaldi, Oregon
collects food for Scouting for Food.
focus w ill be on the Civil War, including
a re-enactment. The Order of the Arrow
w ill have Tap Out on Friday evening.
There w ill be a huge evening program
for all campers and leaders. True
camporee spirit w ill be present including
friendly troop competition.
Tillamook Day Camp −
June 20-23
Tillamook day camp w ill be held at
Camp Clark – Adventure Cove, just up
Highw ay 101. We are so excited to
camp this summer. Camp w ill begin
daily at 9:00 a.m., except for Friday
w hen there w ill be a late arrival w ith a
barbeque/potluck and a real campfire
program put on by Scouts and staff.
Please attend summer day camp…it’s
only $60 for a four-day program, w hich
includes fun and excitement along w ith
the opportunity to meet new friends.
