of chromatographic methods to provide qualitative results.

ACADEMIC POSITIONS
THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGI-
CAL ENGINEERING at the South Dakota School of
Mines and Technology seeks exceptional candidates
for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the
rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Preference
will be given to candidates with experience and
research interest in Advanced Materials, Bioengineering,
Engineering Science, Health and Nutrition, and/
or Sustainable Energy and Clean Water Technologies.
Exceptional candidates with other research interests
will also be considered.
Candidates will have an earned doctorate in Chemical
Engineering or a closely related discipline at the
time of appointment. The Chemical and Biological
Engineering Department promotes an outstanding
educational environment for students, thus applicants
should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in
teaching graduate and undergraduate courses. Previous
teaching at the university level and industrial experience
are highly desirable. It is expected that the successful
candidate will initiate and/or sustain an active
externally sponsored collaborative research program.
The desired start date is August 22, 2012.
