month's improvements. The big items were<br />

Following these improvements, the management<br />

Like Role in 'Cowboy'<br />

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEX.—Gary Owens,<br />
a 10-year-old local boy, was selected for a<br />
bit part in "Midnight Cowboy," a modern<br />
type western being produced in the vicinity<br />
of Big Spring, and now he wants to become<br />
a movie star.<br />
Initially, his brother Stanley, 5, was chosen<br />
for the part but wound up as a standby<br />
for his cousin Tom Marloew jr. of Big<br />
Spring, who appeared in two scenes. The<br />
boys portrayed the movie's star, John<br />
Voight, at the ages of 5 and 9.<br />
MEMPHIS<br />
Tack Lowrcy, owner and operator of the<br />
Ritz Theatre in Russellville, Ark., and<br />
the Joy Theatre in Dardanelle, annouiKcd<br />

The theatre will contribute half of the<br />
returned to work this week after his annual<br />
proceeds to the ballet company—so Memphis<br />
theatregoers who have been besieging<br />
Bill for a family picture now have their<br />
chance to demonstrate they are sincere in<br />
their requests, and that they will support a<br />
good cause.<br />
James H. Martin, sales manager here for<br />
United Artists, was unable to attend the<br />
company's business meeting in Jacksonville<br />
