Notre Dame in 1941 in a commerce
and didn’t complete his remaining
two years of law school.
wife, Elizabeth, recently moved
back to Ohio in the Cincinnati
area. He had been working in
western Iowa as an engineer
for Pella Windows & Doors and
remains with that company at its
Cincinnati facility. He reports that
he was scheduled to complete
Business.
medical degree from The Ohio
State University College of Medicine
last June. He will be doing
his residency in Otolaryngology
Neurofibromatosis Research
Prize.
An Otolaryngologist, (also
known as an ENT, or ear, nose
and throat surgeon), deals with
the surgical management of diseases
such as chronic ear infections,
sinusitis, and head and
neck cancers. It’s a surgical field
without a clear medical equivalent,
Lorenz said, “so patients
and ENTs tend to develop long
professional relationships.”
Lorenz graduated from the University
of Notre Dame in 2001
with degrees in English, French,
and pre-professional studies.
He spent the 1998-99 school
year at the L’Universite
France. “Working in a hospice
while at Notre Dame,” he said,
“really drew me towards medicine.”
form of deafness/brain tumors
termed Neurofibromatosis
II, and won a research grant and
pin average) “like it’s my job.”
Daniel H. White is a manager
at The Container Store in Washington,
D.C. The best part of his
job, he said, is being able to directly
affect the quality of lives
with whom he works. He graduated
from The University of Cincinnati
with a degree in anthropology.
While at UC, he minored
in classics – “an interest fostered
studies at St. Charles,” he
said.He likes to attend DC United
soccer games and keep up with
the latest news around the
world.
”While at St. Charles, I spent my
last year completely entrenched
in Monty’s (Doug Montgomery)
theatre. My experience in productions
of The Compleat
Works of Wllm
Shkspr(Abridged, The Boys
Next Door and School House
Rock LIVE gave me a great
schooling in the arts. I went on
to continue acting in productions
in Cincinnati, including Beautiful
Thing by Jonathan Harvey,
Polaroid Stories by Naomi
Iizuka, and Track & Field - - an
