10 R E G I O N S O F S L O V A K I A Industrial park – Euro Valley LOCATION The industrial park is situated in the western part of Slovakia called Zahorie, close to the capital city Bratislava, in the borderland between 4 countries – Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary. Advantages: - near public road I/18 - location near the border of 4 countries - nearness of the biggest international airport in Central Europe - Vienna - exceptionally large area of the park, with the prospect to get the land at bargain prices - strong infrastructure - excellent location - well educated and skilled workforce - strong research base AREA • 1200 hectares of land TYPE OF OWNERSHIP • state ownership FUNCTIONAL USE • Microelectronics, optoelectronics, microelectromechanics, information technologies, telecommunications, automation, robotics, bioengineering, industrial production with high share of value added, provided however it is environmentally friendly with low volumes of waste production, software engineering, establishment of a research and development base utilising the scientific potential of the Slovak Republic and Central Europe.
