R E G I O N S O F S L O V A K I A Bardejov 61 Bardejov, once established on the joining of the Topľa and Lukavica river, on the crossing of business routes from Hungary to Poland and Halíč, is nowadays a town with about 34 thousand inhabitants. The town was first mentioned in 1241. In 1986, the town was granted the European Price – Golden Medal for the efforts to preserve and restore its cultural heritage and in 2001, the town was entered into the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage. Today, Bardejov is a favourite location for tourists attracting its visitors also with its spa. In future, the town wants to build on its preserved shoemaking, wood processing industry, building industry and engineering. 62 R E G I O N S O F S L O V A K I A Industrial park Bardejov – Nord LOCATION Industrial park Bardejov – North is a part of JAS Bardejov industrial zone, on the premises of the company JAS a.s., which went bankrupt. The plot is located in the north-eastern part of Bardejov on a flat area. Advantages: - complete infrastructure on the premises - enough capacity of workforce AREA • the plot has an area of approximately 20 hectares out of which 17,070 m 2 will be used for renting as production halls. TYPE OF OWNERSHIP • the town of Bardejov will own 100 % of the plot FUNCTIONAL USE • production halls, warehouses TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE POWER SUPPLY • transformation station capacity 6 x 1,000 = 6 MW installed capacity • technical maximum 5 MW • lighting: - the whole plot is fenced and lighted - number of lights: about 80 VO poles with discharge tubes with power consumption 70 W – 400 W - length around the whole plot: 1400 m GAS SUPPLY • gas: 11.0 MW installed capacity • coal: 10.5 MW installed capacity WATER SUPPLY treatment capacity 20 l/sec - well 1 – 7.5 l/sec – water for industrial use - well 2 – 7.5 l/sec – drinking water - surface water 20 l/sec, may be used as drinking water - wastewater treatment plant – 11.6 l/sec – discharged into recipient watercourse TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE ROADS • industrial park Bardejov – North is accessible from public road No. I/77 Bardejov – Poprad. - length approximately 1400 m, 4 – 6 m wide - resin or concrete surface RAILWAYS • the park is accessible from railway station Bardejov using the siding. • siding: total length 2.5 km AIRPORT • Košice, 90 km away.
