R E G I O N S O F S L O V A K I A Industrial zone Piešťany LOCATION The industrial zone is situated in the western part of the town area, in proximity of important traffic corridors and near the premises of former Tesla, now owned by the American company On Semiconductor. In this area, also the American Kimberly- Clark company, Avent Slovakia and the German company Siemens are situated. Advantages: - excellent access from main corridors - suitable technical infrastructure 27 AREA • The total area of the site is 225 hectares, TYPE OF OWNERSHIP • mostly privatly owned FUNCTIONAL USE • Extension of activities in the current industrial zone by electrical industry, engineering, building industry, entertainment industry, as well as services and trade, supporting also small and medium enterprises. TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE • Technical infrastructure is dimensioned to facilitate industrial activities. In close proximity of the site, there is a complete technical infrastructure available: POWER SUPPLY • 22 KV HV line leading through and 22 / 0.4 kV transformer station situated on the site GAS SUPPLY • DN 300 high pressure gas line crossing the site WATER SUPPLY • DN 250 drinking water distribution line available at the border of the site SEWAGE • DN 600 and 1200 collecting sewer located near the site; it being connected to a wastewater treatment plant outside the town TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE ROADS • distance between the potential industrial zone and D1 motorway about 1 – 2 km RAILWAYS • the site is about 1 or 2 km away from international railway track, with the possibility to use a siding AIRPORT • an international airport with 2000 x 30 m landing strip about 5 km away PIEŠŤANY Contact: MÚ, Ing. Technický skúšobný ústav Piešťany, š.p (Technical Testing Institute Piešťany, state enterprise) is an independent authorised certification, testing and inspection authority for engineering products and building materials, consumer goods, slot machines and metrology.
