Orlando CARAMPOT is a known financier of CARAMPOT GUN-FOR-HIRE/ROBBERY/HOLD-UP
GROUP and a relative of the Gang Leader, Jervy CARAMPOT. CARAMPOT Group was the subject of
Case Operational Plan CY 2012 dubbed as “Coplan Carampot” and has been under surveillance of
this unit.
The recovered cache of firearms from the residence of Orlando Carampot validates the
information that he was the one who provides logistical support to the members of the Group in
their nefarious activities. Most of the gang members including JervyCarampot have standing warrant
of arrest for Murder under Criminal Case Number TMCR-263-11 issued by Hon. Judge Aurelio
Icasiano, Jr, RTC, FJR, Branch 23, Trece Martirez City, Cavite.
It can be recalled that sometime in April 2012, Jervy Carampot and his cousin, Rommel
Carampot and other members of the group were subjected to series of raids by operatives of this
Regional Unit at their suspected lairs in Barangay Santiago, General Trias, Cavite but this efforts
yielded in vain. They were responsible in the Murder of Jericho Roxas, a student of Technological
Institute of the Philippines (TIP) in Cubao, Quezon City that transpired sometime on May 22, 2011 in
Gen Trias, Cavite.
Criminal complaints for Violation of PD 1866 as amended by RA 8294 (Illegal Possession of
Firearms and Ammunitions) was filed against the respondent ORLANDO CARAMPOT before City
Prosecutor’s Office, City of Dasmariñas City, Cavite on May 3, 2013 docketed under NPS No: IV-24-
