HERE - CIDG - Philippine National Police

On June 14, 2013, at about 8:30 am, by strength of Search Warrants No: 09-13-10-13 and 11-13
for “Violation of PD 1866 as amended by RA 8294” against respondents/alleged masterminds, BRGY
CAPT. HERMOGENES MENDOZA and ANNA MARIE ILAGAN-MENDOZA, issued by Exec. Judge
Juanita G Areta of RTC, 4JR, Br 86, Taal, Batangas, the joint personnel of Batangas CIDT, Batangas
PPO, RPSB and HPG entered the resident/premises of the afore-mentioned respondents, wherein
the following pieces of evidence were recovered/confiscated:
From Search Warrant No. 09-13
a. One (1) unit caliber 5.56 ELISCO M-16 Baby Armalite Rifle
with SN: 131958;
b. One (1) unit JERICHO cal. 9mm pistol with SN: 9530682;
c. One (1) unit COLT cal. 45 pistol with SN 7312119;
d. One (1) unit LLAMA cal. 22 pistol SN 370225;
e. Two (2) pieces magazines for M-16 rifle;
f. Two pieces magazines for Jericho .9mm pistol;
g. One (1) piece magazine for caliber .45 pistol;
h. Forty Three (43) rounds of live ammo. for caliber 5.56;
i. Fifty (50) rounds of live ammo. for cal .9mm;
j. One (1) piece magazine for cal .22 pistol Llama;
k. Fifteen (15) rounds of live ammo for cal .45;
From Search Warrant No. 10-13
a. Two (2) pcs magazine for caliber 45 pistol;
b. Twenty-two (22) pcs of live ammunitions for caliber 45 pistol;
c. Fifty (50) pcs of live ammunitions for caliber 22;
d. Ten (10) pcs of empty shells for caliber 45 pistol; and
e. One (1) Bullet proof vest;
From Barangay Hall of Calayaan, Sta Teresita, Batangas
a. One (1) caliber 45 pistol (Colt MK IV with serial number FR52828);
b. Five (5) pcs of magazine for caliber 45 pistol;
c. Thirty-Seven (37) pcs of live ammunitions for caliber 45
pistol;
d. One (1) unit caliber 30 carbine with serial number
6900018;
e. One (1) pc of magazine for caliber 30 carbine;
f. One (1) pc of magazine for 5.56 M-16 rifle;
g. Ten (10) pcs of live ammunitions for 5.56 M-16 rifle;
h. One (1) holster for caliber 45 pistol;
i. Ten (10) pcs of live ammunitions for caliber 30 carbine;
j. One Thousand Pesos (Php1,000.00); and
k. One (1) simcard Smart Buddy.
On June 14, 2013, a Case Conference was held at the BPPO Training Center, attended by SITG
members, Honorable CLARO A ARELLANO, Prosecutor General, Honorable ERNESTO MENDOZA,
Regional Prosecutor and other personalities of the Department of Justice, Manila, wherein,
Prosecutor General ARELLANO commended the Batangas PPO and Batangas CIDT for their swift and
prompt response, thus giving justice to the slained Fiscal Alexander Sandoval and to his immediate
family and to the Prosecution Service in general.
Honorable Lourdes Ramirez Zapanta, Provincial Prosecutor, Province of Batangas inhibited their
Office in handling the case for Murder and for violation of PD 1866 as amended by RA 82944 against
the suspect in the killing of Fiscal Alexander Sandoval Y Cabral, Provincial Prosecutor III. Honorable
CLARO A RELLANO, Prosecutor General, DOJ, Mania said that they will handle the case and informed
the STIG- SANDOVAL that prosecution Attorney will be sent , before the first hour of the following
day, June 15, 2013 for the inquest proceeding.
