Student Identification Cards—Maymester and Summer School<br />

students attending on-campus courses may obtain a <strong>Citadel</strong><br />

identification card. <strong>The</strong> identification cards are obtained after<br />

registering in Bond 244. This card is necessary for using <strong>The</strong><br />

<strong>Citadel</strong> and area consortium libraries.<br />

originating institution and the course syllabus. Approval is granted<br />

by the student’s department, contingent upon <strong>Citadel</strong> policy.<br />

Only courses with a “B” or higher are acceptable for transfer<br />

from regionally accredited colleges and universities (e.g. Southern<br />

Association of Colleges, North Central Association of Colleges<br />

and Schools, etc.). Undergraduate students should refer to the<br />

undergraduate section of the catalog.<br />

Recreation—Campus recreational facilities are available to<br />

students enrolled in classes upon payment of the activity fee in the<br />

Treasurer’s Office. <strong>The</strong>se facilities include the Deas Hall weight<br />

room, racquetball courts, swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis<br />

courts, track, and <strong>The</strong> <strong>Citadel</strong> Beach House located on the Isle of<br />

Palms. Students must show <strong>The</strong> <strong>Citadel</strong> identification card to use<br />

these facilities.<br />

Orientation<br />

In order to assist new <strong>CGC</strong> students in becoming familiar with<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Citadel</strong> facilities and support services, <strong>CGC</strong> offers two<br />

new student orientations each year. <strong>The</strong>se orientation sessions<br />

are offered before the beginning of the fall term and before the<br />

beginning of the spring term. New students will be notified of the<br />

date, time, and place of these orientations.<br />

Refunds<br />

No fees are refunded after the published drop deadline. This date<br />

is usually following two class meetings. To obtain the appropriate<br />

refund, a student must complete the drop form available in the<br />

<strong>CGC</strong> office or drop via the online system. <strong>The</strong> Dean of <strong>CGC</strong><br />

may authorize a refund for extenuating circumstances after the<br />

scheduled refund date but only if a formal application is made<br />

in writing to the Dean of <strong>CGC</strong>. Extenuating circumstances are<br />

defined as a death in immediate family, serious medical issues and<br />

deployment. Registration, technology and application fees are not<br />

refundable.<br />

Registration<br />

Registration is conducted by mail, online through Lesesne<br />

Gateway, or in person in the <strong>CGC</strong> office located on the first<br />

floor of Bond Hall, Room 101. Registration is not complete<br />

until all fees are paid. Students may not attend class until they<br />

are fully registered. Completed registrations will be honored<br />

on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any changes in registration<br />

must be made prior to the end of the term’s Drop/Add period.<br />

Information concerning fees, class times, and registration calendars<br />

can be found each academic term online at www.citadel.edu/<br />

graduatecollege.<br />

Transcripts and Transfer Credit<br />

Graduate students applying for transfer credit will use the<br />

“Transfer Credit for Graduate Programs” form located online at<br />

http://www.citadel.edu/graduatecollege/forms/. <strong>The</strong> form will be<br />

submitted to <strong>CGC</strong> through the student’s advisor and department
