We know that Betty is actually Alice Elizabeth “Betty” Hackler, born 18 December 1922 in La Junta, Bent Co, Colorado. After 1930 Census data for 1940 and later will not be released until 2012 for 1940 data, 2022 for 1950 data, etc by law. Ira Hacklers wife Anna Sible Dunham Hackler died in 1939. On 27 April 1942, at the age of 56, widower Ira Zedock Hackler registered for the WWII draft. Here is the data from his registration: Ira Zedock Hackler Rt 4, Conway, Faulkner Co, AR Age 56, birthdate 1/8/1886 in Smith County, KS Person who will know his address: Mrs. Olive Goss (probably his daughter) Not employed. Height 5’11”, 180 pounds Blue eyes, gray hair, light brown complexion. Because of his age, it is assumed he did not serve. On 4 November 1944, Ira Z. Hackler took out a $100 marriage bond and license to marry Lucy Edith Wise in Conway, Faulkner Co, AR. He was 58 years old, she was 32 (born 3 January 1912, died December 1969). On 11 June 1940, Ira Hackler’s daughter Alice Elizabeth “Betty” Hackler married Roscoe Stewart. One child of that marriage was Alice Stewart, mother of Stacy Atkins Pinter. 37 | P a g e
The Dunham Family Connection The Dunham family connects to the other families in this report by way of the marriage of Anna Dunham to Ira Zedock Hackler.
