Lewis died in 1888 or 1889 in Faulkner County, AR. He was about 62. Sarah now had at least<br />

three children ages 11, 8, <strong>and</strong> 3. She married Alex<strong>and</strong>er Hay in Faulkner County AR on 25 June<br />

1889. Alex<strong>and</strong>er was about 42 years old while Sara was about 36.<br />

Note that <strong>the</strong> 1900 census is <strong>the</strong> only census to records actual birth month <strong>and</strong> year.<br />

This family owned a farm in Cadron Township, Faulkner County, AR. Jane indicated that she<br />

had given birth 11 children <strong>of</strong> which 6 survived. The identity <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r 5 children is unknown.<br />

Alex<strong>and</strong>er Hay indicated that his fa<strong>the</strong>r as born in Scotl<strong>and</strong>.<br />

Louis C. <strong>Smith</strong>, Jr continued <strong>the</strong> family line.<br />

1910<br />

In 1910, we finally are able to track Louis C. <strong>Smith</strong>. He appears, living in Cadron Township,<br />

Faulkner Co, AR, with his wife Lula <strong>and</strong> family. Here is <strong>the</strong> family:<br />
