There are only eight wetl<strong>and</strong> patches remaining in the<br />

Hewitt’s <strong>Creek</strong> subwatershed, totalling 103.7 ha (or 5.9% of<br />

the l<strong>and</strong>scape) (Figure 6-7, Figure 6-10). The wetl<strong>and</strong><br />

composition of this subwatershed is almost entirely<br />

dominated by two wetl<strong>and</strong>s – the St Paul’s Swamp wetl<strong>and</strong><br />

complex, located where two branches of the creek merge,<br />

<strong>and</strong> an unevaluated wetl<strong>and</strong> immediately north of it.<br />

Together, these two remnants represent over 90% of the<br />

total wetl<strong>and</strong> in this subwatershed.<br />
