Baekground of This Discourse<br />
Movements such as "<strong>Are</strong> all religions one and the same?"<br />
have, off and on, been rising on the soil of undivided India.<br />
The sole aim of these movements had been to popularize<br />
the thoughts that "Universal values are equally found in all<br />
religions; so <strong>Islam</strong>, as religion, merits no credence, no<br />
supremacy, no hegemony, and no pre-eminence over and<br />
above any of the other religions ofthe world."<br />
Among the leaders of "United India", (Mliulana) Abul<br />
Kalam Azad (deceased), with Congress at his back, was<br />
such a leader who initiated this Movement in the Indo-Pak<br />
Subcontinent. Its ultimate aim was to prove that:<br />

launched on the premise that the entire Muslim population<br />
of India is a separate nation and enjoys a distinct system of<br />
life. They need a separate homeland, where they could run<br />
this System as a free independent state.<br />
On the basis of the arguments drawn from the teachings of<br />
the Qur'an and the vigour of conviction (Iman),· his<br />
