How to Measure A Collar<br />
Place the ruler against the<br />
collar cap and measure to the<br />
inside brim of the throat as<br />
illustrated. This collar measures<br />
20". For size of draft, draw a<br />
tape line around the collar at<br />
the heaviest part, as illustrated.<br />
This collar has 17-1/2" draft.<br />
How to Fit a Collar to a Horse<br />

It is very important to select the correct size horse collar to ensure<br />
comfort to your horse. When fitting a horse with a collar, there<br />
should be enough room to freely fit four fingers flat on<br />
the inside throat of the collar.<br />
When care is taken to properly fit a collar and to adjust the hames<br />
so the hames tugs come over the center of draft, your horse will<br />
work with ease and comfort. Remember, more horses are ruined<br />
by collars that are too large than from any other cause.<br />
