Oiling Your Adler
Apply oil to the following plastic inserts, oil holes, oil
reservoirs and wicks just until oil starts to come back
out of machine.
1) The four plastic inserts located on the
bottom of the machine. Two are located
on the cylinder arm (1) (one on the front
and one on the back), one is located on
the inside of the base (2), and one is
located on the right side of the base (3).
2) The three oil holes located on the
stitching plate (4).
3) The three oil reservoirs (5) on the top
of the machine.
4) The wicks (6) located on the top left
of the machine.
5) The four oil holes (7) on the back of
the machine for the shafts (8) (Each
shaft has one oil hole at each end).
To keep your machine in good running
condition, be sure to keep your Adler
properly oiled. We recommend that you
oil your machine every time you use it.
For instance, if you use your machine daily,
you should oil it daily. We advise using
the Lily Stitching Oil featured on page
290 when oiling your machine.
