It is with great pleasure that I submit the annual report <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Code Enforcement Office for the<br />
fiscal year July 1, 2008 through<br />
June 30, 2009. The information<br />
below shows the activity during<br />
this past fiscal year.<br />

Report from the<br />
ZONING BOARD OF<br />
APPEALS<br />
To the <strong>Town</strong> Manager, <strong>Town</strong> Council, and Citizens <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Scarborough</strong>:<br />
During the fiscal year 2008-2009, the <strong>Scarborough</strong> Zoning<br />
Board <strong>of</strong> Appeals acted upon 51 appeals.<br />
Of those 51 appeals, 2 appeals were denied. The Zoning<br />
Board granted 3 Variance Appeals, 18 Special Exception<br />
Appeals, 3 Miscellaneous Appeals, 6 Practical Difficulty<br />
Appeals and 1 Administrative Appeal, for a total <strong>of</strong> 49<br />
appeals approved. Of the 18 Special Exception Appeals, 11<br />
Accessory Units were approved.<br />
