Age of the fistula
Comments:
The lack of knowledge of women living with fistula on obstetric fistula makes that the majority of them lives with the desease
for several years, for exemple, from 1 to 5 years fistula with 20 cases (30%), 6 to 10 years and 11 to 15 years with 22 cases
(33%). With regard to the age it is noted that the major number of fistulas ocurred between the ages of 15 to 39 years, with 32
cases (48%) and that confirm that generally obstetric fistula cases occurred very often after the first delivery. So that it is
propossed that this group be pioritary during the next campaign of reparation of obstetric fistulas due to the fact that this is the
group of women that is in fertility age.
