3. WOMAN WITH FISTULA WITHOUT DELIVERY (TRAUMATIC)
I live in Bareso village in northern Bioko island, am 25 years old and
am married.
I have never bear a child in my life, but, I had this sickness as a
consequence of a sexual brutal violation that I experienced when I
was 13 years old. This was a criminal and unforgetful event that I
will carry over me for the rest of my life.
Up on a time, I got married. At the age of 19 years old I felt constant
flows in my vagin, urinating without control, beside a bad and
constant odor from this urine. This situation persisted for more than
6 years, so that I could not be pregnant, and that makes me think
about the sexual violation that I had when I was 13 years old.
Inspite of that, I am strongly benefiting from my husband’s
continuing help, but as a result of this great preocupation, both my
husband and I, decided to go to the hospital in order to see the
doctor. After the consultation, a drug prescription was given to me in
order to find so many drugs, even I did not have any positive result.
I continue to have the sickness and seek for help.
