Administrative offices YOUR CAMPUS Service Office The Service Office is an institution to minimize the bureaucratic work for the students. It has the following areas of responsibility: • Receipt of all documents regarding the progress of studies • Storage of internship documents (contracts, reports, certificates) • General support for – Application for studies – Enrollment – Removal from the register of students – Re-registration – Examinations – Internships – Academic leave of absence – Leporello (student ID and statements) – Health insurance for students Department of examination administration The tasks of the department of examination administration: • Support for students in topics regarding examinations (e.g. deadlines, progress preconditions, attestation) • Handling of examination registrations • Announcement of grades and briefing about consequences of failed or not written examinations • Issuance of certificates (e.g. performance records (notably BAFög) Examinations It’s on one’s student responsibility to register for examinations, she or he wants to participate in. Registering for examinations is only possible online during a predefined period, which can be looked up at the semester timetable (p. 80 or http://www.hs-regensburg.de/favoriten/termine-oeffnungszeiten.html). At the beginning of the period, links to the registration site can be found at the homepage of the university and the intranet. Grades are published at on QIS-System (see Page 33). Many Docents additionally publish the results of their examinations prior to the official date at their homepages, the K-Drive or the eLearning-platform. 28 <strong>Study</strong> guide of student’s union – WS11
YOUR CAMPUS Administrative offices More information regarding examinations can be found on the Rahmenprüfungsordnung of the field of study. It can be found on the faculty’s webpages as well as the contact persons for your faculty (see page 30). Department for Internships Helping students in questions of internships (industrial training) or the practical term in general. In detail: • Support for students • Issuing of certificates (e.g. mandatory practical courses) • Managing pre-study work experience (mandatory for some courses) • Support for companies providing internships • Insurance and receiving of documents regarding the internship (contracts, reports…) Department of Studies The department of studies handles all the bureaucratic stuff, that does not concern the other offices. In detail: • Support for application process of studies • Support and handling for administration fee and credit • Enrollment • Exmatriculation of students due to missing fees • Confirmation for further studies • Academic leave of absence • Insurances during studies • Leporello (student ID and statements) • Any kind of other certificate <strong>Study</strong> guide of student’s union – WS11 29
