After four weeks you have to bring the lent books back to the library. Only if no one reserves
the book during this time you can extend the period of lending up to a maximum
of three months. It is advisable to hand the books back in time, otherwise you are fined a
small fee of 7,50 e on demand.
You can not lend magazines. You can’t lend reference collection either (they’re marked
with a yellow sticker and labelled ”nicht entleihbar” on it).
Loan and return machine There is a loan machine
in the library Seybothstraße to shorten waiting. It
enables you to lend up to ten books a time by using
your library card. You can return the books any time
by using the return machine next to the entrance
of the library. Thus you’re not tied to office hours
of the library except the machine’s out of service or
does not work the way it should.
There are no loan and return machines in the library
of Prüfeninger Straße. But you can also return the
books out of office hours. Just put them in the Box in front of the library entrance – done!
Regensburger Katalog (OPAC) OPAC is a public library catalog for investigating among
the stock. OPAC is available at home, too, so reserving and ordering a book, lengthening
the loan or downloading eBooks is easily done.

eBooks Recently there are a lot of eBooks available in the library for downloading and
printing chapter by chapter. Check out the links Online-Literatur and Elektronische Medien
on the intern homepage of the library. (instructions on 38). Just look for eBooks in
OPAC.
Laptops It’s possible to bring your laptop with you. The library provides networking so
you can get access to the internet. For further information please ask the staff or follow
the instructions about the access (whether wireless or with wire) on following site (http:
