Each student’s got an email-account on their immatriculation. It’s built like this
firstname.lastname@stud.hs-regensburg.de (firstname1, firstname2,…in case of duplicates)
You can check your emails by email-Applications like Thunderbird, Outlook and so on. It’s
also possible to setup POP-Download at your Mail-Provider like GMail, Yahoo or Hotmail.
At the computer center’s webpage, some tutorials can be found.
Be aware of some security restrictions at the campus:
• No mails from outside to outside through university mailserver (VPN excluded)
• No mails from inside to outside through unencrypted mail server connections via
mail applications.
Here’s the connection information for your mailbox (unfortunately no encryption available)
