Abstract Pl<strong>an</strong>s in Cached Statements: Allows you to save abstract pl<strong>an</strong> information in statement cache.<br />

Shrink Log Space: Allows you to shrink the log space <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> free storage without re-creating the <strong>database</strong> by using<br />

the alter <strong>database</strong> comm<strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> to remove unw<strong>an</strong>ted portions of a <strong>database</strong> log.<br />

Displaying Currently Set Switches: Allows you to see all traceflags at the server <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> session level.<br />

Ch<strong>an</strong>ges to Cursors: Ch<strong>an</strong>ges to how cursors lock, m<strong>an</strong>age tr<strong>an</strong>sactions, <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> are declared.<br />

Nested select Statement Enh<strong>an</strong>cements: Exp<strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong>s the abilities of the asterisk (*).<br />

Chained Tr<strong>an</strong>sactions: Some system procedures may run in sessions that use chained tr<strong>an</strong>saction mode.<br />

Quoted Identifiers: Use quoted identifiers for tables, views, column names, index names, <strong><strong>an</strong>d</strong> system<br />

procedure parameters.<br />
