Dear Colleague:
I am pleased to present the Winter/Spring 2011 Catalogue of Courses
sponsored by Continuing Dental Education at The University of British
Columbia. We are excited about our program, and hope you will take
advantage of some of the excellent educational opportunities available.
Our on line registration software was upgraded last summer to meet
the standards of PCI compliancy. The Payment Card Industry Data
Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a worldwide information security
standard defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
The standard was created to help payment card industry organizations
that process card payments prevent credit card fraud through increased
controls around data and its exposure to compromise. The standard
applies to all organizations that hold, process, or exchange cardholder
information from any card branded with the logo of one of the card
brands. CDE is confident that you will be reassured that all your credit card
information is protected to the highest standards, while providing you the
ease and access of registering for courses on line at your convenience
through our safe and secure on line registration system.
Please be sure to mark in your calendar for Adventure and Learn in
Hawaii, February 2011. Also in February we will hosting the annual
Vernon Ski Seminar February 18 and 19, 2011. Sure to be
another great learning opportunity is Cast Gold Restoration June
20-24, 2011.
Our newsletter emails have been very well received this year. Please look
for our new email design in the new year. If you would like to receive
course reminders via email, please email cde@interchange.ubc.ca and we
will add you to our list. If you have any suggestions or feedback for our
program, we would also appreciate hearing from you at the same address!
