DICKINSON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Personnel Compensation STAFFING GUIDELINES PURPOSE: Guidelines provide a frame of reference for equitably allocating district resources to all students. These guidelines are divided into major functional areas of the district. Not all jobs are included. The areas covered by this document are: elementary/ intermediate instruction, junior high instruction, high school instruction, continuation center and district-wide services. Unless ‘campus’ designation is used, the number of students refers to the total student population of that instructional level. NOTE: The Superintendent is authorized to modify staffing guidelines as required to meet budget constraints. STAFFING GUIDELINES — ELEMENTARY/INTERMEDIATE INSTRUCTION (PK-4) Instructional Services Teachers Classroom Teacher Each increment of 1 full-time person per classroom 22 students Special Education/Special Programs Teacher To be determined by Special Programs department and approved by Superintendent Special Assignment Teachers Varies by program/ As required to provide instruction campus design in appropriate group sizes as approved by the Superintendent ARD Committee Facilitator Gr.
