Push the lever forward. The specimen carrier is ejected from the carrier plate into a small specimen container within the insert where they can be retrieved from. Transfer the released specimen in specimen container under the desired number. 5.3.5 Switching off the system Once all freezing is complete, the Leica EM HPM100 can be shut down. If the machine will not be used for several days it is safe to simply turn off the power and let the LN 2 evaporate and the machine gradually warm to room temperature.
