The 18 th spirit is called Bathin, he is a mighty [and] strong duke & appeareth<br />

like a strong man w th ye Taile ofa serpent, sitting on a pl:me paile couloured<br />

horse33 he knoweth the vertue of hearbes & precious stones, & can transport<br />

men suddenly from one Country into an other, he ruleth over 30 Legions<br />

of spirits his seal is thus to be made and to be warne before you.<br />

The 19 th spirit is called Saleos [Sallosvt], he is a great and mighty duke, &<br />

appeareth in [the] form of a gallant souldier, ridding on a Crocodile, w th a<br />

dukes crowne on his head peaceably he causeth ye love ofwomen to men &<br />

men to women, he governeth 30 Legions of spirits his seal is this,35 we h<br />

must be warne before you.<br />

The 20 th spirit is called Purson 36 a great king; he appeareth commonly like<br />

a man w th a Lyons face, earring a cruel viper in his hand, and ridding on a<br />

Bear goeing before him [are] many Trumpets sounding; he knoweth hid-<br />
