Seniors’ Activities in Scotland<br />
Spring/Summer <strong>2010</strong><br />
<strong>The</strong> BB in Scotland will be offering three special events for Seniors<br />
and Young Staff. If you are aged between 16 and 22 and are keen<br />
for a challenge then one of these might be for you<br />
• Adventure Weekend at Craggan Outdoor Centre 21st-23rd May<br />
Over this weekend you can get the chance to try a range of activities<br />
ranging from canoeing and geocaching to white water rafting.<br />

the group “Boys’ <strong>Brigade</strong> Scotland”.<br />
• Visit the heart of Europe 29th-30th June<br />
A two day trip to Brussels where you will have the chance to explore inside<br />
the European Parliament and other institutions. This unique experience<br />
would not be complete without taking a close look at Belgium’s Capital.<br />
• Adventure at Sea 19th-25th July<br />
In partnership with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland, the BB has arranged 12<br />
places aboard an OYT yacht. Sailing off Scotland’s spectacular west coast,<br />
there will a number of chances to drop anchor and explore. You will have<br />
the chance to learn new skills and be part of an ocean yacht’s crew.<br />

Swimming Gala<br />
Over 70 young people<br />
took park in the recent<br />
Swimming Gala held in<br />
Portarlington. Many exciting<br />
races with nail biting<br />
finishes were held during<br />
the afternoon in what<br />
proved to be an afternoon<br />
of fun and fellowship. <strong>The</strong><br />
picture shows participants<br />
and winners with their<br />
medals and trophies<br />
following the prizegiving.<br />
Anchors Fun Day<br />
Fort Lucan, a fully supervised outdoor adventure playground<br />
for children aged 2-14. Kids create their own adventures as<br />
they discover secret slides, climb 40 foot towers and high<br />
walkways before zipping across the aerial runways. Escape<br />
your friends in the maze or challenge them on the army-style<br />
assault courses. Fort Lucan will be the venue for the Anchors<br />
Fun day on Saturday 8th May <strong>2010</strong>.<br />
Junior Section<br />
Adventure Day<br />
Knockree, located in the magnificent<br />
glaciated Glencree valley near Enniskerry in<br />
Co Wicklow providing modern facilities in<br />
a spectacular location will be the location<br />
for the Junior Section Adventure Day that<br />
will take place on Saturday 29th May <strong>2010</strong>.<br />
