with reference to the low voltage w<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g and ground. Note that the low<br />

voltage w<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g is grounded for this test.<br />

With this connection, the <strong>in</strong>sulation resistance will be that of the generator<br />

stator w<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g and connect<strong>in</strong>g cable comb<strong>in</strong>ed. To test either the stator<br />

w<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g or the cable itself, the cable must be disconnected at the mach<strong>in</strong>e.<br />
