Highlights:
• You’re eligible to start saving in the 401(k) your first day on the job. You will be automatically
enrolled 30 days after your hire date at a rate of 3% of your pay. Contributions will be
deducted each pay period and contributed to your account on a before-tax basis. Your balance
from another company-sponsored plan can be rolled over into the Pitney Bowes plan.
• You choose how much to contribute on a pretax, after-tax, or Roth basis up to the IRS limits.
Use convenient payroll deductions to make your contributions.
• Pitney Bowes matches your contributions—$0.50 for every dollar you contribute, up to 3% of
your pay (for Pitney Bowes Mail Services, Pre-Sort Services, Government Services and Level
One employees) or 100% of your contributions, up to 4% of your pay (for all other employees).

• After one year of service, you will automatically receive a company-paid Core Contribution
equal to 2% of your eligible pay, even if you do not make contributions to the 401(k) Plan. You
must have been hired on or after January 1, 2005, to be eligible (Level One employees are not
eligible). Special rules apply for rehired employees.
