The Maroondah City Council has prepared<br />

Amendment C42 to the Maroondah Planning<br />

Scheme.<br />

In accordance with section 9(2) of the<br />

Planning and Environment Act 1987, the<br />

Minister for Planning authorised the Maroondah<br />

City Council as planning authority to prepare<br />

the Amendment. Notice is being given pursuant<br />

to Section 19 (1) (c) of the Planning and<br />

Environment Act 1987.<br />

The land affected by the Amendment<br />

involves implementing the ‘Maroondah<br />

Heritage Study Stage 2’ by making clarifications<br />

to the existing Heritage Overlay; introducing<br />

61 individual heritage citations (including 10<br />

precincts) to Clause 43.01 of the Maroondah<br />

Planning Scheme; and adding two Schedules to<br />

the Neighbourhood Character Overlay – Alto<br />

Avenue and the Croydon Hills Estate.<br />

Any person who may be affected by the<br />

Amendment may make a submission to the<br />

planning authority.<br />

The closing date for submissions is<br />

11 February 2008. A submission must be sent<br />

The Melton Shire Council has prepared<br />

Amendment C66 to the Melton Planning<br />

Scheme.<br />

In accordance with section 9(2) of the<br />

Planning and Environment Act 1987, the<br />

Minister for Planning authorised the Melton<br />

Shire Council as planning authority to prepare<br />

the Amendment.<br />

The land affected by the Amendment is 1–7<br />

Caroline Springs Boulevard, Caroline Springs.<br />

The Amendment proposes to:<br />

Rezone the land from Residential 1 Zone to<br />

Mixed Use Zone; and<br />

Specifies a maximum leasable floor area of<br />

500 m 2 for shop and office.
