The Poisons Code will be amended such that<br />
the entry for FLUOROACETIC ACID in the<br />
Poisons List – List of substances that are not for<br />
general sale by retail will be amended to:<br />
FLUOROACETIC ACID except when included<br />
as sodium monofluoroacetate or sodium<br />
fluoroacetate (commonly known as ‘1080’ or<br />
‘ten-eighty’) in ready-to-use bait products that<br />
are:<br />
a. registered by the Australian Pesticides<br />
and Veterinary Medicines Authority (‘the<br />
Authority’) under Part 2 of the Agvet Code;<br />
or<br />
b. permitted to be possessed or supplied under<br />
a ‘permit for supplying a perishable bait<br />
treated with a registered chemical product’<br />
issued by the Authority under Part 7 of the<br />
Agvet Code.<br />
The amendment will enable commencement<br />
of the new regulatory framework for the supply<br />
of 1080 pest animal baits, whereby 1080<br />
pest animal baits registered by the Australian<br />
Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority<br />
or approved under a permit issued by the<br />
Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines<br />
Authority may be supplied by retail.<br />
The date fixed for the amending material to<br />
take effect is 1 January 2008.<br />
The Poisons Code may be inspected free of<br />
charge during normal business hours at the offices<br />
or Library of the Department of Human Services<br />
situated at 50 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne 3000,<br />
or can be obtained directly from the Department<br />
of Human Services. Contact the Duty Officer on<br />

NOTICE OF MAKING OF<br />
MINISTERIAL ORDER NO.19<br />
An Order of the Minister for Education was<br />
made on 30 November 2007 under section 2.2.4<br />
(3) of the Education and Training Reform<br />
Act 2006. This Order specifies the types of<br />
instruction that are equivalent to year 12 of<br />
education for the purposes of the Education<br />
and Training Reform Act 2006.<br />
Instruction that is equivalent to year 12<br />
of education is instruction in the <strong>Victoria</strong>n<br />
Certificate of Education, the <strong>Victoria</strong>n Certificate<br />
of Applied Learning or the International<br />
Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.<br />

The electricity generation licence issued to<br />
Stanwell Corporation <strong>Limited</strong>, ABN 37 078 848<br />
674, by the Essential Services Commission on<br />
10 July 2000, has been revoked effective from<br />
1 December 2007 by agreement between the<br />
Essential Services Commission and Stanwell<br />
Corporation <strong>Limited</strong>. This is in accordance with<br />
section 29 (1) (b) of the Electricity Industry<br />
Act 2000. The licence revocation is effective on<br />
and from 1 December 2007.<br />

Electricity Generation Licence<br />
The Essential Services Commission gives<br />
notice under section 30 of the Electricity<br />
Industry Act 2000 (EI Act) that, pursuant<br />
to section 19 of the EI Act, it has granted an<br />
electricity generation licence to Toora Wind<br />
Farm Pty Ltd, ABN 56 126 722 076. The licence<br />
is effective on and from 1 December 2007.<br />
