The Poisons Code will be amended such that
the entry for FLUOROACETIC ACID in the
Poisons List – List of substances that are not for
general sale by retail will be amended to:
FLUOROACETIC ACID except when included
as sodium monofluoroacetate or sodium
fluoroacetate (commonly known as ‘1080’ or
‘ten-eighty’) in ready-to-use bait products that
are:
a. registered by the Australian Pesticides
and Veterinary Medicines Authority (‘the
Authority’) under Part 2 of the Agvet Code;
or
b. permitted to be possessed or supplied under
a ‘permit for supplying a perishable bait
treated with a registered chemical product’
issued by the Authority under Part 7 of the
Agvet Code.
The amendment will enable commencement
of the new regulatory framework for the supply
of 1080 pest animal baits, whereby 1080
pest animal baits registered by the Australian
Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority
or approved under a permit issued by the
Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines
Authority may be supplied by retail.
The date fixed for the amending material to
take effect is 1 January 2008.
The Poisons Code may be inspected free of

or can be obtained directly from the Department

NOTICE OF MAKING OF
MINISTERIAL ORDER NO.19
An Order of the Minister for Education was
made on 30 November 2007 under section 2.2.4
(3) of the Education and Training Reform
Act 2006. This Order specifies the types of
instruction that are equivalent to year 12 of
education for the purposes of the Education
and Training Reform Act 2006.
Instruction that is equivalent to year 12
of education is instruction in the Victorian
Certificate of Education, the Victorian Certificate
of Applied Learning or the International
Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Notice of Revocation of a Licence
The electricity generation licence issued to
Stanwell Corporation Limited, ABN 37 078 848
674, by the Essential Services Commission on
10 July 2000, has been revoked effective from
1 December 2007 by agreement between the
Essential Services Commission and Stanwell
Corporation Limited. This is in accordance with
section 29 (1) (b) of the Electricity Industry
Act 2000. The licence revocation is effective on
and from 1 December 2007.

Notice of Grant of an
Electricity Generation Licence
The Essential Services Commission gives
notice under section 30 of the Electricity
Industry Act 2000 (EI Act) that, pursuant
to section 19 of the EI Act, it has granted an
electricity generation licence to Toora Wind
Farm Pty Ltd, ABN 56 126 722 076. The licence
is effective on and from 1 December 2007.
