The Lambeau Leap<br />
LeRoy Butler’s spontaneous gesture after scoring a<br />
1993 touchdown has turned into the team’s most prominent<br />
modern tradition, emulated by many other <strong>NFL</strong><br />
players. It also symbolizes the team’s unique relationship<br />
with its fans. No doubt, the initial Lambeau Leap<br />
will go down as one of the most memorable moments<br />
Butler’s 12-year career.<br />
Butler’s leap took place late in a frigid game vs. the<br />
Los Angeles Raiders, Dec. 26, 1993, at Lambeau Field.<br />
The touchdown gave the Packers a <strong>com</strong>manding fourthquarter<br />
lead, en route to a 28-0 shutout that clinched a<br />
playoff berth, their first of six consecutive postseason trips.<br />

second on the team with 25 receptions for 317 yards<br />

returner for the first half of the season, with 11 punt returns<br />
