Spent training camp and preseason with New<br />
York Giants and was acquired in a trade following<br />
training camp...Played in 15 of 16 regular-season games<br />
with seven starts, and started both playoff contests…Posted<br />
five 100-yard games and led team with 188 attempts<br />
for 956 yards and six touchdowns; also had 30 catches for<br />
145 yards…Established postseason team records for rushing<br />
yards (201) and rushing touchdowns (3) vs. Seattle in<br />
the Divisional round (Jan. 12)…Since his insertion into the<br />
lineup in Week 8 at Denver, which came when Wynn left in<br />
second quarter with a shoulder injury, totaled 929 rushing<br />
yards; only San Diego’s Tomlinson (947) had more rushing<br />
yards over season’s final 10 weeks…Had 11 rushes of 20<br />
yards-or-more in the regular season. No running back in<br />
the <strong>NFL</strong> averaged more 20-yard-plus runs per carry than<br />
Grant (every 17.1 attempts); Minnesota’s Peterson, ranked<br />

second-longest streak in team history (Terdell Middleton,<br />

his performance against the Vikings as he rushed for 119<br />
yards, plus his first career touchdown, on 19 carries. On<br />
Green Bay’s opening drive, took a toss right and scored a<br />
30-yard TD, spinning out of an arm tackle on the second<br />
level…At Detroit (Nov. 22): Ran 15 times for 101 yards<br />
and one touchdown; finished second on the team with six<br />
catches for 31 yards…At Dallas (Nov. 29): Rushed 14<br />
times for 94 yards and two touchdowns, the first multiple-<br />
TD game of his career. In the first quarter, found a small<br />
opening off right guard and sprinted for a 62-yard touchdown.<br />
Added a 1-yard plunge in the third, narrowing Dallas’<br />
lead to 27-24…Vs. Oakland (Dec. 9): Set career highs<br />
with 29 carries and 156 yards, adding a touchdown; named<br />
‘FedEx Ground <strong>NFL</strong> Player of the Week.’…At Chicago<br />
(Dec. 23): Picked up 100 yards and one touchdown on<br />
14 carries. In the second quarter, went off right tackle for<br />
a career-long 66-yard TD, the Packers’ only score of the<br />
contest…Vs. Seattle (Jan. 12): After losing fumbles on<br />
the Packers’ first two drives, rebounded to rush for 201<br />
yards and three TDs, on 27 carries in Divisional playoff.<br />
His 201 rushing yards set a franchise postseason record<br />
and ranked seventh on the all-time <strong>NFL</strong> postseason list.<br />
His three rushing scores also established a new franchise<br />
playoff record and tied him for second in <strong>NFL</strong> single-game<br />
