among Green Bay’s rookies on<br />

defense, and started three contests...Was inactive for<br />

seven games, the first four as a healthy scratch plus three<br />

late-season games due to injury...Finished season with<br />

13 tackles (eight solo) and two stops on special teams…<br />

Vs. Atlanta (Oct. 5): Played in first <strong>NFL</strong> game, seeing<br />

time on special teams and at defensive end when Michael<br />

Montgomery left game in second half with ankle injury. Recorded<br />

two tackles…At Seattle (Oct. 12): Saw most extensive<br />

action of season to that point, seeing time at both<br />

end spots, and posted three tackles, stopping FB Leonard<br />

Weaver for a 3-yard loss in the first quarter as he fought off<br />

a block…Vs. Indianapolis (Oct. 19): Started first <strong>NFL</strong><br />

game and posted career-high five tackles, but left game<br />

in second half with a stinger…At Minnesota (Nov. 9):<br />

Started third straight contest at RDE and registered two<br />

tackles, but injured his groin and missed the next two<br />

contests…Vs. Carolina (Nov. 30): Returned to action<br />

but injured his ankle and knee on punt return late in the<br />

first half and did not return, missing the next contest and<br />

seeing only limited action the rest of the season…2008<br />

Draft: Selected in the fourth round with the 102nd overall<br />

pick, the 18th defensive lineman chosen…Became<br />

the first player Thompson traded up to select in the first<br />

nine drafts he ran (four with Green Bay, five in Seattle), as<br />

the team traded a fourth-round choice (113), along with<br />

a fifth-round selection (162) to the New York Jets…The<br />

stops, and added a sack and a forced fumble vs. Maryland<br />

(Sept. 22)…Junior season (2006): Played in all 14<br />

games with eight starts…Posted 30 tackles, 4½ tackles<br />

for loss, including a sack, and batted down three passes…<br />

Intercepted a pass at Connecticut (Sept. 16) and returned<br />

it 86 yards for a touchdown, the second-longest interception<br />

return in school history at that time…Recorded a<br />

season-high five tackles three times (vs. Liberty, Sept. 30;<br />

at North Carolina, Oct. 28; vs. Boston College, Nov. 4), but<br />

was slowed by a shoulder injury in the final four games of<br />

the season…Sophomore season (2005): Started the<br />

first eight games before suffering a season-ending knee<br />

injury vs. North Carolina State (Oct. 22), missing the final<br />

three games…Recorded 21 tackles, including two for loss,<br />

and batted down a pass…Freshman season (2004):<br />

Played in all 11 games as a true freshman and started three<br />

contests…One of just two true freshmen to see game action<br />

for Demon Deacons in ’04…Posted 15 tackles, three<br />
