28): Sprained his right shoulder in third quarter on 7-yard<br />

scramble as he dove to extend the ball for a first down. On<br />

next series, hit Jennings for a 48-yard TD pass, but then<br />

sat out the following series with the injury. Returned for<br />

one more series late in the fourth quarter before exiting<br />

the game for good. Finished the afternoon 14-of-27 for<br />

165 yards and two touchdowns…Vs. Atlanta (Oct. 5):<br />

Started despite being limited all week in practice as he recovered<br />

from sprained right shoulder. Recorded the second<br />

300-yard passing game of his pro career as he connected<br />

on 25-of-37 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns<br />

to match a career high…At Tennessee (Nov. 2): Completed<br />

22-of-41 passes for 314 yards, one touchdown and<br />

one interception, the third 300-yard passing game of his<br />

career. Connected on a career-high six passes of 20-plus<br />

yards…Vs. Carolina (Nov. 30): Matched his career high<br />

with three TD passes, <strong>com</strong>pleting 29-of-45 passes for 298<br />

yards. Completed passes to nine different players, which<br />

tied a career high…Vs. Detroit (Dec. 28): Completed<br />

21-of-31 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns for<br />

a career-high 132.2 passer rating, and matched career<br />

best with three TD passes. With Lions having just scored<br />

a TD to narrow Green Bay’s lead to 24-21, connected on<br />

career-long pass when he found Donald Driver deep down<br />

the right sideline midway through the fourth quarter for a<br />

2007<br />

Serving as Favre’s backup for the third straight<br />

season, appeared in two regular-season games<br />

and <strong>com</strong>pleted 20-of-28 passes (71.4 percent) for 218<br />

yards with one touchdown and no interceptions for a 106.0<br />

rating, plus seven rushes for 29 yards…Put together his<br />

best preseason as a pro, <strong>com</strong>pleting 37-of-59 passes (62.7<br />

percent) with three touchdowns in four appearances…Vs.<br />

Minnesota (Nov. 11): Saw his first action of the regular<br />

season, entering with 3:56 remaining and <strong>com</strong>pleting<br />

both of his passes for 17 yards, including a 15-yarder to<br />

James Jones on his first throw…At Dallas (Nov. 29):<br />

Was inserted into the game in the second quarter after<br />

Favre suffered elbow and<br />

shoulder injuries. Completed<br />

preseason, served as the No. 2 quarterback for all four<br />

games…Completed 22-of-38 passes for 323 yards and<br />

three touchdowns, including an 85-yard pass to Jennings,<br />

vs. Atlanta (Aug. 19)…Before sustaining a season-ending<br />

broken foot in Week 11, had taken 36 regular-season offensive<br />

snaps in 2006 and <strong>com</strong>pleted 6-of-15 passes (40.0<br />

percent) for 46 yards, with no TDs or interceptions, for a<br />

48.2 rating…At Philadelphia (Oct. 2): Made his season<br />

debut in place of an injured Favre (neck/head); nearly engineered<br />

a touchdown drive on the last series of the game,<br />

<strong>com</strong>pleting 2-of-3 passes for 14 yards, but the Packers<br />

were held out of the end zone on a goal-line stand…Vs.<br />

New England (Nov. 19): Saw the most extensive action<br />

of his career to date when he was inserted into the<br />

lineup for an injured Favre (elbow), and played the last two<br />

offensive snaps of the first half and the entire second half.<br />

Completed 4-of-12 passes and had a 6-yard scramble on<br />

a third-and-6. Played the second half with a foot injury he<br />

sustained toward the start of the third quarter; post-game<br />

tests revealed a fracture that caused him to miss the rest of<br />

the season. Placed on injured reserve Nov. 21.
