three preseason games with a quadriceps injury…Earned<br />

his roster spot with 54 yards rushing on 21 carries in preseason<br />

finale at Tennessee (Aug. 30) and then quickly made<br />

his mark with two rushing touchdowns in Week 2 at N.Y.<br />

Giants (Sept. 16)…Went on to rush 50 times for 203 yards<br />

(4.1 avg.) and four TDs before sustaining a shoulder injury<br />

on the first play of the second quarter at Denver (Oct. 29),<br />

ending his season…With Brandon Jackson selected five<br />

rounds earlier in the same draft, became just the second<br />

running back drafted by the Packers since 2002…Finished<br />

his college career at Florida by helping lead the Gators to<br />

the BCS National Championship, averaging 4.9 yards per<br />

carry as a senior to lead a backfield-by-<strong>com</strong>mittee with<br />

699 rushing yards and five TDs…Went to Florida as a prep<br />

All-American out of Cincinnati, posting three 2,000-yard,<br />

30-TD seasons in four years at Reading H.S.<br />

2008 season<br />

Played in five games after spending<br />

the early part of the season on<br />

the team’s practice squad…Saw most extensive action of<br />

the season in final two games, and posted 110 rushing<br />

yards and a TD on eight carries…Waived by Packers during<br />

training camp on Aug. 25, but was re-signed to the<br />

practice squad Aug. 31…Spent first five weeks of the season<br />

on the practice squad before being signed to the active<br />

roster Oct. 11, where he remained the rest of the season…<br />

Inactive for six games, including at New Orleans (Nov. 24)<br />

and vs. Houston (Dec. 7) after sustaining calf injury during<br />

Nov. 20 practice…At Seattle (Oct. 12): Handled<br />

third-down back duties with Jackson inactive due to illness.<br />

Signed from the practice squad just the day before,<br />

provided key blitz pickup on Aaron Rodgers’ 45-yard TD<br />

pass to WR Greg Jennings when he blocked S Brian Russell<br />

<strong>com</strong>ing up the middle. Also made a tackle on special<br />

teams…At Chicago (Dec. 22): Served as third-down<br />

back with Jackson inactive (wrist). Caught a slant for 7<br />

yards in the fourth quarter, and then picked up 4 yards on<br />

carry on 4th-and-1 at the Chicago 9 on a drive that was<br />

capped off with a Mason Crosby field goal…Vs. Detroit<br />

(Dec. 28): Rushed for a career-high 106 yards on just<br />

seven carries (15.1 avg.). With his seven attempts, tied for<br />

the second-fewest carries needed to reach 100 yards in a<br />

game in team history. Took pitch from Rodgers 73 yards<br />

down the right sideline for a touchdown midway through<br />

2007<br />

Playing in the season’s first seven games with<br />

four starts, was the team’s leading rusher with<br />

50 carries for 203 yards and four touchdowns before a<br />

shoulder injury ended his season…Also had nine receptions<br />

for 73 yards…Left the Week 8 game at Denver (Oct.<br />

29) with a shoulder injury after his first carry, on the first<br />

play of the second quarter, and was placed on IR the next<br />

day…Missed a handful of early training camp practices<br />

with a stomach virus, then suffered a quadriceps injury<br />

early in camp during an Aug. 7 night practice and missed<br />

the first three preseason games…Returned to practice<br />

Aug. 26 and played most of the preseason finale at Tennessee<br />

(Aug. 30), rushing for a team-high 54 yards on 21<br />

carries to earn a roster spot…Vs. Philadelphia (Sept.<br />

9): Served as the third-down back in <strong>NFL</strong> debut. Made his<br />

first <strong>NFL</strong> reception on third-and-10 in the third quarter,<br />

grabbing a short flip pass from Brett Favre and scampering<br />

18 yards; the drive ended with a 37-yard Crosby field goal,<br />

tying the score 13-13. Also had one rush for 8 yards…<br />

At New York Giants (Sept. 16): Carried 10 times for<br />

50 yards and two touchdowns, and caught two passes for<br />

18 yards; also served as a kick returner (one return for 15<br />

yards). Scored his first TD on a second-quarter draw play,<br />

bouncing off a defender as he crossed the goal line to give<br />

Green Bay a 7-0 lead. On his second score, made a cutback<br />

move off left tackle and burst ahead for a 38-yard TD, juking<br />

past one defender and stiff-arming another as he finished<br />

the run. Picked up 10 yards on a third-and-9 reception<br />

in the second quarter…At Minnesota (Sept. 30):<br />

Made his first career start, with Jackson inactive due to a<br />

shin injury; rushed 10 times for 20 yards and caught two<br />

balls for 10 yards…Vs. Chicago (Oct. 7): Had a gamehigh<br />

78 rushing yards on 13 attempts, with one catch for<br />

13 yards. On the Packers’ first drive, rushed four times for<br />

59 yards and a TD; picked up 44 yards on a carry off right<br />

guard — the longest offensive play of the game — and
