Go where the Wild Things are: <strong>Girl</strong> Scout <strong>camp</strong>! Leave<br />
your tame side at home as you unleash your creativity<br />
for crazy dress-up <strong>day</strong>s, wacky science projects <strong>and</strong><br />
messy-but-edible art. Take a photography or sketching<br />
lesson so you can capture images of your favorite<br />
beasties on a special trip to the <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> Zoo. Enjoy<br />
up-close animal encounters, discover what you can do<br />
to help keep wild things safe, <strong>and</strong> finish the week with a<br />
luau!<br />

friends as you enjoy crafts, swimming, games <strong>and</strong><br />
special guests. Complete activities from the Bugs,<br />
Habitats or Animal Helpers badges. Spend Tues<strong>day</strong><br />
night at a SeaWorld exhibit <strong>and</strong> spend the next <strong>day</strong><br />
discovering ocean life right there in the park.<br />

Wilderness Hiking 101<br />
Grades 6-8; DCA/CITs: Grades 10-12<br />
Learn about “the 10 Essentials,” compass usage, GPS<br />
technology <strong>and</strong> other things you need to know to safely<br />
hike in the city <strong>and</strong> the wilderness. Start out trekking<br />
around <strong>camp</strong>, then progress to more advanced <strong>day</strong><br />
hikes farther away from civilization. Build a strong bond<br />
with your team on our Adventure Zone climbing tower.<br />
Take a dip in the pool, paddle a canoe <strong>and</strong> take aim at<br />
our archery range. On Fri<strong>day</strong>, stay overnight for a sneak<br />
peek at the <strong>Girl</strong> Scout backpacking program by cooking<br />
on an expedition stove, sleeping in a backpacking tent<br />
<strong>and</strong> learning from older girls in the program.<br />
