Learn the basic skills that are the building blocks for
more complex sewing projects. Get ready, measure
twice, cut once…you’ll be threading your way to success
in no time. Return home with a sampler of stitches and

Looking through the camera lens and searching for
that ideal shot is an awe-inspiring experience. Come to
Camp Whispering Oaks to learn how to create perfect
pictures using basic principles of photography. You’ll go
home with your prize-winning photo and a new-found
passion.

Starry Night
Grades 4-5
Find out what it’s like to be an astronomer through
out-of-sight experiences. Explore the galaxy using telescopes
to identify planets and get an up-close look at
your favorite constellations. Create a sky map as a guide
for your overnight under the stars. When the sun is out,
explore all that camp has to offer with your fellow space
explorers.

Superhero Academy
Grades 2-3
Attention all future superheroes: Up, up and away we go
to camp for a fun-filled week of Superhero training! Design
and make your very own cape and other cool gear.
Use your special powers to perform good deeds and
solve daily camp mysteries. Up, up and away to camp!

Vintage Avengers (5-Day camps only)

This camp session is designed for crafty fashionistas!
Learn how to shop for less, while discovering the latest
and greatest “finds” in fashion. Visit a thrift store to unearth
some diamonds in the rough, then tailor, customize
and personalize your new treasure. Show off all of
your work at an all-camp fashion show.

Yarnology
Grades 6-8
Grab a hook and skein of yarn to create some spectacular
stuff. Make your own knitting needles, and participate
in a crochet service project. Whether it’s your first time

this program will provide something for you.
