In the first
week, she noticed a
slight reduction in
the number of loose
stools. In the second
week, when she
stopped ingesting
gluten, Sharon noticed a gradual reduction
in all symptoms. She felt more energetic, and
her mood improved. She gained additional
information and self-direction through
Internet research about gluten sensitivity.
When she followed up with her clinician
a few months later, she reported that her
quality of life had improved with nutritional
modifications. ■
