MASTER OF DIVINITY PROGRAM (Continued):
Ashland M.Div. Cohort Programs
Year One – Students take core courses to provide a biblical, historical, and theological
foundation.
Year Two – After completing a minimum of 24 hours (6 courses) with five of those
courses being ATS Core courses, a student may enroll in the M.Div. Cohort Program
lectures with small groups. Pastors lead the small groups and enrich the student’s
education by offering insight and practical ministry experience. The small groups
provide a place for spiritual growth, prayer, community, fellowship, support, and
processing lecture material.
Year Three — Students take additional required courses and selected electives.

Ashland
Ashland M.Div. students are required to participate in the Tuesday M.Div. Cohort Program on
the Ashland Campus.
Cleveland, Columbus, and Detroit Centers
In the 2011-2012 academic year, a modified cohort program was begun in Cleveland
and it will begin in Columbus and Detroit in 2012-2013. The cohorts at the Centers
continue to combine lectures and small groups. However, only one course will be offered
in this format each quarter over a two year period. The sequence of courses at
the Centers is scheduled as:

Students should plan to stay in the cohort for the full year, but they may enter the cohort
experience during either the first or second year at each Center. Students at the Centers may
also take the one year M.Div. cohort on Tuesdays on the Ashland campus.
