families by working and volunteering with folks who
have disabilities, and with families needing help
to overcome trauma. As a community volunteer, I
advocate for abused children in court to help find them
safe, permanent homes and I serve on several boards
and groups for various community needs.

STATEMENT:
What is good for families is good for all of Alaska. When
we make decisions that benefit the day-to-day lives of
families first, we end up making smarter choices that
serve the long term health of the entire state. As a
mother of four sons and a long-time community leader,
I firmly believe that a representative should serve the
needs and concerns of the people and families within
her district above all other influences. I care deeply
about people and my community and know firsthand
the day-to-day struggles we all go through to put food
on the table, a roof over our heads, and provide the
best education possible for our children.
Just like you, I believe in development that makes
economic sense. We deserve jobs that feed our
families while protecting the sustainable resources
that make this an incredible place to live. Just like you,
I believe our children deserve a quality education that
prepares them for the jobs we will have waiting for them.
And just like you, I believe it takes smart decision making
to promote a prosperous economy without sacrificing
the health and welfare of our fellow Alaskans.
When we work together as a community, better things
happen for all of us. I am ready to listen to each of
your concerns and ideas, and work together to find
solutions that make long-term sense. I am ready to be
your voice in Juneau. Let’s get to work!
