Make the dressing by<br />

whisking together all the<br />

dressing ingredients in a<br />

bowl.<br />

Place tuna in a bowl; season<br />

with salt and calamansi or<br />

lemon juice. Set aside.<br />

In another bowl, combine<br />

the remaining ingredients<br />

except dressing. Add 1/4 cup<br />

dressing; toss.<br />

Top the salad with the tuna<br />

and drizzle with some of the<br />

remaining dressing. Leave<br />

some dressing to serve on<br />

the side.<br />

Choose lean meat and<br />

pair it with vegetables for<br />

a filling meal. This dish<br />

is low-carbohydrate and<br />

low-fat, but definitely not<br />

low in flavor.<br />

Ingredients<br />

1 kilo sukiyaki cut beef<br />

1 teaspoon olive oil<br />

salt and freshly ground<br />

black pepper<br />

2 tablespoons fresh lime<br />

juice<br />

1/2 teaspoon fish sauce<br />

1/2 teaspoon sugar<br />

1/2 cup fresh cilantro,<br />

chopped<br />

1/2 kilo green beans or<br />

Baguio beans, sliced<br />

Preparation Method<br />

whisk together the lime<br />

juice, fish sauce, sugar, and<br />

cilantro. Set aside.<br />

Heat a saucepan of salted<br />

water until boiling. Add<br />

beans and cook until crisptender,<br />

about 3 minutes.<br />

Drain.<br />

Toss with the Beef in the<br />

lime juice mixture, adding<br />

any meat juices that have<br />

accumulated on the cutting<br />

board. Lastly, add the<br />

beans. Toss and serve.<br />

Heat your grill or grill pan<br />

to high.<br />

Rub olive oil onto the beef<br />

and season with salt and<br />

pepper. Leave to marinate<br />

for 10 – 15 minutes<br />

Grill the beef pieces to your<br />

desired doneness, about 1 ½<br />

minutes per side. Remove<br />

from the heat and set aside<br />

on a cutting board for 5 – 10<br />

minutes to rest.<br />
