Kult kuhinje / The Kult kitchen
The owner of Kult Kitchens claims that their products go
along with famous Italian manufacturers: - About once a
year, new trends in materials and design will show up on
the market. In design they are rarely drastically different
than the previous ones, so by completing new decorations
you’re simply following trends. Of course there are
certain design changes, but they are not as noticeable
as the launching of new colours or decorations. And as
far as materials go, along with the standard chipboard,
MDF mat and “high glow”, veneered MDF boards, “lakobel”
and varnished glass, we are now offering MDF foil,
which is the leading production material. To put it short,
we are offering everything that the foreign competition
does, only more accessible and flexible.
Most of the other major local manufacturers also follow
trends, which includes regular visits to the biggest furniture
fairs of the world. They all agree that the wishes and
tendencies of the buyers are getting more and more
refined, and if you’re not up to date with the novelties,
you won’t be present on the market for long. Or as Mario
Šarić explains, kitchens that were being made ten years
ago are just not good enough anymore. – The biggest
role in making the offering certainly goes to the salespeople’s
skill to discover and understand the buyers’ wishes.
46
We often have to guess what the buyer thinks, and there
are all kinds of buyers, with the most unusual wishes and
ideas. It’s up to us to recognize those ideas and try to “fit
them in” with the limitations of the space, the materials
and the technology.
Within the ever-increasing local offering, there are those
who are more professional and who are less professional,
who have more and less quality. Therefore, any
serious buyer will consult the opinion of those who have
crossed that path before them, so they wouldn’t repeat
the same mistakes. Those who are thinking about starting
a manufacturing line have the other manufacturers’
experiences at their disposal. The market is getting bigger
and bigger, according to those who know it well, the offering
is huge, and the competition keeps getting bigger.
Our manufacturers claim that this is an industry where you
don’t become rich over night (“none of us has become
Bill Gates”), but their companies are doing really well and
are very stable, which is excellent by today’s standards.
And finally, when asked what is the most important thing
that makes a good kitchen, 66% of the questioned manufacturers
(two out of three) answered: a good cook.
Maybe it’s really not about where you cook – it’s about
what you cook and in which way.
